FundingThe term funding is used to indicate a sum of money that a company, organisation or credit institute may grant to private subjects, companies and organisations to realise a project, start-up a business venture, promote an event and so on. In other works it is a kind of “borrowing without obligation to repayment”, provided certain preset rules or requisites are observed.
Grants, for instance, are a kind of support to entrepreneurs (especially youngsters) who wish to start abusiness, and are therefore granted by central or regional governmental authorities to encourage a certain sector of the economy. Funding also granted by various types of organisation and bodies for philanthropic reasons, in favour of cultural activities, or social or public interest purposes.
